What makes Ava ethical lingerie?
It takes time and research to create a lingerie collection as ethical as Ava, but for us, it’s worth all the hard work to play our sustainable role. Both in the materials used and throughout our creative process we remain ethically conscious, without compromising on quality or style. Here are just a few reasons to love our Ava pieces:
Organic Bamboo & Cotton Fabric
Throughout the Ava collection, we use a blend of natural, organic bamboo and cotton. Not only is it beautifully soft to the touch, breathable and durable, but we also take great care to source our fabric ethically and responsibly. No chemical pesticides have been used for any of the bamboo and cotton fabric in our Ava pieces.
Eco lace
The beautiful lace panels in our Ava collection are sourced from an ethical supplier based in Germany and feature recycled EcoSmartTM elastane. This is produced using the waste created during warping, residual yarns and other pre-consumer waste. Our supplier has successfully completed the GRS (Global Recycling Standard) certification for all their factory locations and gains re-certification every year. We’re proud to say that all of our lace is OEKO-TEST 100 CLASS I STANDARD approved, going through rigorous testing for harmful substances.
Small Batch Production
It’s not just our choice of materials that makes Ava so ethical, we also have to consider our production process. All of our lingerie is made using a small batch system to reduce waste material and avoid us holding onto deadstock.
